My comfort beads began when my dear friend Edie asked me to create a pendant with her beloved husband Dave’s ashes. I wanted to create a simple but beautiful bead that would give comfort to my friend. So the “Comfort Bead” was born.

My beads are made using glass rods, by first wrapping a layer of white glass on my mandrel, followed by a colored glass layer of your choice. Then I roll the glass in a small amount of your loved ones cremation ashes, and add a final layer of clear glass to give it depth.

I can create your comfort bead in almost any color. Each comfort bead comes with a leather cord. Sterling silver or gold chains are available at an extra charge. Once you have purchased a comfort bead using our online shopping cart, I'll send you a packet with complete, easy-to-follow instructions. In this packet you will get a vial to put a small amount of cremation ash in so it will travel safely to me. Also you will choose the color of your comfort bead.

I ask you to email or call me to let me know your cremation ash is on its way to me, and I will email you or call you to let you know when your completed order is shipped back to you. All unused cremation ash will be returned with the completed comfort bead. Each order is handled with personal attention and great care.
